Terms of Service

Your rights and responsibilities as a Prentiss Connect subscriber.

These Terms of Service govern your use of internet service provided by Prentiss County Electric Power Association (PCEPA) doing business as Prentiss Connect. By activating or using the service you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By subscribing to or using Prentiss Connect internet service, you agree to these Terms of Service and all incorporated policies, including the Acceptable Use Policy, Privacy Policy, and Network Management Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the service.

2. Service Description

Prentiss Connect provides fiber-based broadband internet access to residential and small-business customers in Prentiss County, Mississippi. Service plans, speeds, and pricing are described on our Rates page and are subject to change with advance notice.

Advertised speeds reflect maximum network speeds under optimal conditions. Actual speeds may vary based on in-home equipment, network congestion, and other factors.

3. Billing and Payment

  • Service is billed monthly, in advance, on your PCEPA electric account statement.
  • Payments are due by the date shown on your statement. Late fees may apply per PCEPA tariff.
  • Installation and equipment fees, if applicable, are billed at the time of service activation.
  • You are responsible for all charges incurred on your account.

4. Service Term and Termination

Prentiss Connect offers month-to-month service with no long-term contracts. Either party may terminate service with 30 days’ written notice. PCEPA may suspend or terminate service immediately for violation of these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy.

Upon termination, you must return any PCEPA-owned equipment in good condition. Failure to return equipment within 30 days may result in an unreturned equipment fee.

5. Customer Equipment

PCEPA will install and maintain the Optical Network Terminal (ONT) and, where included in your plan, a managed Wi-Fi gateway. You are responsible for maintaining compatible devices and in-home wiring beyond the ONT.

PCEPA is not responsible for customer-owned routers, switches, or other equipment. We recommend keeping firmware on your devices up to date.

6. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, PCEPA’S LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE MONTHLY CHARGES PAID BY YOU IN THE 30-DAY PERIOD PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

PCEPA IS NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOST PROFITS OR DATA LOSS.

7. Modifications

PCEPA may modify these Terms at any time. We will provide at least 30 days’ notice of material changes by posting updated Terms on this website and, where applicable, on your monthly statement. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

8. Contact
