Consumer Information

Service disclosures, pricing transparency, and your consumer rights.

This page provides consumer disclosures required by the FCC and information to help you make informed decisions about your Prentiss Connect service.

Broadband Service Labels

Prentiss Connect publishes a standardized FCC Broadband Consumer Label for each service plan. These labels disclose monthly price, typical speeds, latency, data policy, and any additional fees. Labels are posted on the Rates page alongside each plan description.

Speeds and Performance

Our fiber service is symmetrical — download and upload speeds are equal. Advertised speeds are the maximum available on your plan. Typical speeds delivered to the ONT (the fiber terminal at your home) match or exceed advertised speeds. Speeds experienced on Wi-Fi will vary based on your router’s capabilities, interference, and the number of active devices.

Pricing and Fees

Monthly service rates are listed on the Rates page. Installation is free for new subscribers within our service area. There are no early termination fees and no data caps. Equipment fees may apply for optional managed Wi-Fi upgrades.

Customer Equipment

PCEPA installs and maintains the Optical Network Terminal (ONT) at your premises. If your plan includes managed Wi-Fi, we also provide and maintain the gateway router. You may use your own router connected to the ONT. PCEPA’s technical support covers the ONT and managed gateway; support for customer-owned equipment is provided on a best-effort basis.

Technical Support

24/7 technical support is available by calling 662-596-6688. Our technicians can troubleshoot issues from the network edge to your ONT remotely, and will dispatch a field technician when needed at no additional charge for issues on our network.

Billing Transparency

Your internet service charge appears on your monthly PCEPA electric bill. The line item clearly identifies the service plan and rate. No promotional pricing, price increases, or new fees are applied without at least 30 days’ advance notice.

Dispute Resolution

If you have a billing dispute or service complaint, contact us first at info@pcepa.com or 662-596-6688. If we are unable to resolve your concern, you may file a complaint with the FCC at fcc.gov/consumers/guides/filing-informal-complaint or with the Mississippi Public Utilities Staff.
