CPNI
Your rights regarding Customer Proprietary Network Information.
Customer Proprietary Network Information (CPNI) is information that Prentiss Connect acquires about you in the course of providing your telecommunications service. Federal law requires us to protect this information and obtain your approval before using it in certain ways.
What Is CPNI?
CPNI includes information about the quantity, technical configuration, type, destination, location, and amount of use of telecommunications services you subscribe to, as well as related billing information. For internet services, this includes your service plan details, connection logs, and associated charges.
How PCEPA Uses CPNI
We use your CPNI to:
- Provide, maintain, repair, and bill for your internet service
- Respond to your technical support requests
- Protect you and other customers from fraud or unauthorized use
With your approval, we may also use CPNI to inform you of service upgrades or additional services offered by PCEPA that may benefit you.
Your Rights
You have the right to restrict PCEPA’s use of your CPNI for marketing purposes. Restricting CPNI use will not affect the quality of the service you receive or your ability to obtain service from us. Your choice will remain in effect until you change it.
Opt-Out Procedures
To restrict use of your CPNI for marketing, contact us at info@pcepa.com or call 662-596-6688. Please include your name, service address, and account number in written requests. We will process your request within 30 days.
CPNI Protection Measures
We implement the following safeguards for CPNI:
- Employee CPNI training conducted annually
- Account authentication required before discussing CPNI in phone or in-person interactions
- CPNI-related customer notifications sent to the address on file, not disclosed over the phone
- Annual CPNI compliance certification filed with the FCC as required by 47 C.F.R. § 64.2009
