Acceptable Use Policy

Prentiss Connect provides internet access to residential and small-business customers for lawful personal, educational, and commercial purposes. This AUP exists to protect all subscribers and the integrity of our network.

You may not use Prentiss Connect service to:

• Transmit, store, or distribute child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any illegal content
• Send unsolicited bulk email (spam) or engage in phishing
• Launch or participate in denial-of-service attacks against any network or host
• Access systems or data without authorization (hacking, cracking)
• Distribute malware, ransomware, or other malicious software
• Operate an open mail relay or participate in a botnet
• Infringe on intellectual property rights of others
• Resell internet access to third parties without written authorization from PCEPA

Prentiss Connect does not impose data caps. High-volume use is permitted provided it does not degrade service for other customers or violate any other term of this AUP. We reserve the right to contact subscribers whose usage patterns are consistent with prohibited activity.

You are responsible for securing the devices on your network. If your equipment is used — knowingly or unknowingly — to violate this AUP, you are accountable for that activity. We strongly recommend using strong Wi-Fi passwords, keeping router firmware current, and enabling firewall features on your gateway.

PCEPA reserves the right to investigate suspected AUP violations and, where appropriate, to suspend or terminate service, cooperate with law enforcement, and pursue civil or criminal remedies. We will make reasonable efforts to notify customers of alleged violations before taking action, except where immediate action is required to protect the network.
